Best chocolate cake ever!
Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl. Sift together flour, soda and cocoa. Alternate adding dry ingredients into creamed mixture with water. Bake in a 13×9 inch pan at 350F for 45 minutes.

So true, this may be the best chocolate cake EVER!
I wanted something sweet last night, and thought as long as I was making something, it should be a chocolate cake, since that’s my mom’s favorite, and I’m seeing her for lunch/dinner today, and I wanted it to be something I could share with her. I chose this recipe because I had all of the ingredients on hand, and it looked rich and chocolate-ty. This cake is amazing, and I may never use another recipe for chocolate cake again. It is rich, and so incredibly moist! And it was so easy to whip together. It definitely hit the spot w/me as it’s not too sweet because of the intense chocolate-ty-ness of the cocoa; and my mom is going to flip over it. Excellent recipe!

yes i do put a chocolate cream cheese powdered sugar frosting on it! i’m glad you like it!
