An easy bar recipe from Grandma Evie’s recipe box. As noted on the recipe, she received it from her sister-in-law Ruby.
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Press crescent dough into an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
In a sauce pan bring brown sugar and butter to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Pour evenly over crescent dough. Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake 14 to 18 minutes, until golden brown.
Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Slightly swirl chips as they melt. Do not spread evenly.
Cool and cut.
