Pecan pie in the form of a bar.
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Blend flour, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup butter together until fine, dry, crumbs form. Press into a 9×13-inch pan. Sprinkle with nuts.
Boil the remaining 3/4 cup margarine and 1/2 cup brown sugar together for 30 seconds. Drizzle over nuts and crust. Bake for 20 minutes.
After removing bars from the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, allow to melt, and spread slightly with a spatula. Alternatively, melt the chocolate chips in a Ziploc bag, cut a small corner out, and drizzle over the bars.
Allow to cool and cut into squares.
