Our take on a traditional British dessert, this is easy and can be suited to anyone’s tastes.
Trifle is traditionally made in a large glass bowl. However, for individually-sized trifles, we used clear drinking glasses. Cut a slice of the pound cake and fit it into the bottom of the glass. Place 1-1/2 tablespoon of desired fruit preserves over the pound cake and cover with 1/4 cup of fresh fruit. Next spoon in the entire contents of one Jell-O Temptations (pick a flavor of your choice). Finally, add a layer of whipped cream and garnish with fresh fruit. Chill the trifle for two hours before serving.
(Our favorite combo is raspberry preserves, fresh raspberries and lemon meringue Temptations by Jell-O.)
