Moist and delectable, a must try.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 8″ cake pans. This recipe works great for cupcakes, too.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time until combined. Add in vanilla and sour milk, mix well. Scrape down sides as needed.
With the mixer on low, add in half of the flour, then boiling water and the remaining flour. Mix well.
Pour into pans and bake for 30 minutes. Bake cupcakes for 15 minutes.
Frost with vanilla buttercream.
