Description

This quick and easy slow cooker recipe just screams Fall! Perfect for all of those freshly picked apples.

Ingredients

  • 5 whole Apples, Peeled, Cored And Sliced
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cups Apple Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • ⅛ teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter, Cubed

Preparation

Add apples, sugars, apple juice, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla into your crockpot, stirring to incorporate. Place butter on top of apples. Put the lid on and cook on high for 1 1/2 hours or on low for 4-5 hours. Stir mixture halfway through cooking.

Note: Water can be substituted for apple juice.

These were great! I was a little afraid that they would cook down too far, but they were perfect. Tasted exactly like apple pie (without crust) and were super easy to throw together. There is lots of room to fiddle around with the seasonings to accommodate any taste. Thank you for sharing!
