The classic version of candy “mints” made for many weddings, bridal showers, baby showers and any time you just want a nice little treat! Prep time includes refrigeration of cream cheese mixture. Serving size varies depending on how many mints you want to make.
Mix cream cheese, flavoring, and powdered sugar together until smooth. Refrigerate for up to 8 hours to allow mixture to set a bit.
After refrigeration, add food coloring of choice to the mixture and blend well, using hands.
Note: you can make a larger batch of the mixture and separate it into individual containers to make more than one color to coordinate whatever event you need!
After addition of food coloring, roll cream cheese mixture into balls and roll balls in a container of granulated sugar.
Press balls into mint molds of your choice. Make sure they are even at the back of the mold. Pop out of mold and place in containers lined with waxed paper.
Let the mints set out to “harden” before placing in the refrigerator (if you will be needing them soon) or freeze and store for up to 2 months!
(Mint molds can be found at “large brand” stores as well as any baking or candy supply shop and come in different shapes, such as roses, leaves, rattles, graduation caps, doves, etc. Just about anything you can imagine!)

Glad I could bring some nostalgia back into your life! These just remind me of celebrations throughout my life! There was never a wedding or shower I went to that didn’t have these at the event, yum! Being Dutch, my Grandma always used the almond flavoring, we love our almond!
