A chocolate cake with cream cheese and chocolate chip filling.
This is one of the first recipes given to me by my mother-in-law, Colleen. She did not specify servings/prep time so I’m really guessing. I could make this cake in my sleep. Her words: “Bake till done.”
Combine cake ingredients, mix and put in a cake pan.
For the filling, combine cream cheese, egg and sugar together. Add chocolate chips and fold into mixture.
Drop filling by teaspoonfuls onto cake batter. Bake at 350ºF till done (when cake “crackles like rice crispies” or a toothpick comes out clean).
