Perfect for the times when you want something warm and chocolate-y, but dont have the time or energy to make something big!
Mix dry ingredients in a large coffee mug. Add egg and stir, then add milk and oil and stir till smooth. Stir in chocolate chips (peanut butter would be good, too!) and vanilla, then microwave on high for 3 minutes, or until cake is done.
I use a LARGE mug (it’s actually a soup mug) because the nice, polite sizes I have aren’t big enough! Also, put a plate under the mug while it’s cooking because sometimes it cooks over the edge.

Not too shabby for a 5 minute recipe!

This was very good! (Next time I am going to give it a little less time…my microwave must be strong…) What a great idea for a teachers gift, too…give it in a little bag in a nice mug with directions to add the egg, milk and oil and how to cook it. Thanks for the recipe!

I love this!… but it’s a dangerous recipe! it’s almost like a pudding when eaten warm with ice cream
