Description

Awesome and simple dessert bars that are loaded with oats, chocolate chips, and coconut.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Quaker Oatmeal Flakes
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
  • ½ cups Butterscotch Chips
  • ½ cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Shredded Mounds Sweetened Coconut Flakes
  • 20 whole Rolo Candies
  • 14 ounces, weight Sweetened, Condensed Milk

Preparation

Line an 8×8 pan or baking glass (or dish large enough to hold the ingredients) with parchment paper.

To a bowl, add oats and salt, then drizzle in melted butter. Stir.

Take the prepared baking dish and add the buttery flakes. Push down with the back of a wooden spoon.

Distribute chocolate chips and butterscotch chips along the top. Top with coconut flakes and add the Rolo’s, about 1 inch apart or so, then pour over the condensed milk.

Bake for about 20–25 minutes. Just make sure you take a peek as that coconut can brown too much, about 18–20 minutes in. Once the coconut is lightly golden, remove, and let cool.

Once cooled, slice into bite-sized pieces and go at it. These coconut dessert bars are a winner. Kids loved them and I loved them (weird). Hope you enjoy!
