A wonderful coconut cake recipe that doesn’t take much longer to make than a boxed mix cake. So delicious with my Cream Cheese frosting and toasted coconut!
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together well. Add eggs, one at a time. Alternate adding buttermilk and remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes if making three 8-inch layers, or for 35 minutes if making two -inch layers.
Frost with my Cream Cheese icing and press toasted coconut on top for a very pretty cake.
