Easy, quick snacking cake. This recipe has been in my family for probably 100 years. My mother grew up on it, as did I, and my daughters and now the grandchildren.
Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together 4 times. Beat the egg and milk together; add the melted butter and stir into the flour mixture. Pour into a greased and floured pie pan and bake for 20 minutes.
I like to sprinkle the top with the cinnamon and sugar mixture we use for breakfast toast.
This is great, warm, right out of the oven. My husband likes it so much he’ll even request it if I haven’t made it for a while!

Delicious and I always have the ingredients on hand. Sometimes the good ole recipes handed down from one generation to the next really are the best. Thanks for sharing this one!
