Description

Just three simple steps!

The perfect pie for summertime. From potlucks to BBQ, the cool, silky chocolate pie is a treat everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1-⅔ cup Water
  • 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 5 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 3 whole Egg Yolks
  • 2 Tablespoons Buter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Coffee Liqueur (optional)
  • 1 whole Baked Pie Crust
  • FOR THE TOPPING:
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • Chocolate Sprinkles Or Chocolate Shavings (optional)

Preparation

1. Combine water, cornstarch, cocoa powder, sweetened condensed milk, and egg yolks in a medium-sized sauce pan over medium heat. Continue whisking pudding until it becomes thick (2-5 minutes). Remove from heat and whisk in butter, vanilla, salt, and coffee liqueur (if using).

2. Pour pudding into a baked pie crust. Refrigerate until completely cooled.

3. To make topping, combine heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla and mix with an electric mixer until the cream thickens, about 1-2 minutes. Dollop on top of cooled pie. Top with chocolate sprinkles or chocolate shavings if desired.
