looks good!
Smooth, rich chocolate pudding made from scratch.
1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the cornstarch, salt, cocoa powder, and maple syrup until smooth. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk and egg yolks.
2. Slowly whisk the milk and yolks into the mixture in the pan. Set the heat to medium and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
3. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla. Serve warm (over ice cream) or chilled (with whipped cream).

oh my. Made this for dessert tonight…not only was it quick and easy, this has ruined me for any kind of mixes! Wonderful!

This looks divine! (And I must’ve had my head in the sand for 40 odd years, never considering one could make pudding from scratch!!!) Going in my recipe box to make as a treat over the holidays!

I adapted this to make it low carb, used cream instead of milk, no cornstarch and Splenda for sweetener. Fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing.

This looks so good Erica! I’ve always wanted to make my own pudding. I’m bookmarking this one!

there is something so delicious and friendly about chocolate pudding in a glass jar. Great photo!
