The first time I tasted these cupcakes, I nearly fainted! I reserve these for special occasions, because I could literally eat them every day!
Fill muffin tins with approximately 30 cupcake wrappers.
Mix cake as directed (typically requires water, oil and eggs). Fill muffin tins 3/4 full. Cream the sugar and cream cheese together, then beat in egg and salt. Add chocolate chips to the mixture and drop one rounded teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in each cupcake. Top each with more cake mix.
Bake as directed on cake mix box (usually 18-20 minutes at 350 degrees F). Chill and serve!
