Description

Chocolate coconut and oat goodness in a grab and go bar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Oats
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ⅔ cups Shredded Coconut
  • 3-½ ounces, weight Chocolate Chips
  • ⅔ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 stick Butter, Melted
  • 1 whole Egg

Preparation

Preheat oven to 180ºC (350ºF) and line a tray with baking paper.

Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients, and pour in the butter and egg. Stir until combined. This takes a little effort, but all of the ingredients will be fully incorporated into a thick dough.

Press the mixture into the baking tray and bake until firm to the touch, about 20 minutes. Remove and let cool, then cut into thick, delicious bars.
