Description

easy, yummy dessert

Ingredients

  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 stick Melted Margarine/butter
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 whole Frozen Pie Crust (9" Deep Dish)
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Mix all ingredients except the walnuts and chocolate chips with a mixer. Stir in the nuts and chips with a spoon. Pour into the unbaked pie crust. Bake at 325° for about an hour until a tooth pick comes out clean. The top of the pie will look all cracky.
*I like to bake with butter, and I have made this with real butter, but I think it turns out better if you use margarine.
(It’s hard to resist, but it is best if you let it cool completely before you cut and serve)

We made one pie for Thanksgiving day because there were others. The others are leftovers; I am making another one of these today! yum!

Made my own pie crust, but the filling was so easy to whip up. I loved it and my coworkers gave rave reviews. It tasted like a warm flakey deep dish cookie. Will definitely make this again.

DELICIOUS! I wanted something quick my 3 year old could help me whip up for an impromptu “pi day” pie, and this fit the bill! My husband doesn’t like super sweet things and he agreed it wasn’t overly rich, but the perfect balance of sweet and hearty. Thanks for a great recipe!

I used a store bought frozen deep dish crust for this recipe. It went together very fast and was simple to make. It was great. My husband has never been a fan of walnuts but he gobbled this up as did my very picky 3 and 5 year olds. Will definitely be making this one again.

Used Pdub’s pie crust recipe and this pie was A-mazing. Hands-down the favorite for our Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing.
