Description

Chocolatey, chewy, crunchy, warm, and gooey … heavenly goodness.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ stick Butter
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Organic Sugar
  • 1-½ teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1-½ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Bittersweet Chocolate
  • ¼ cups Dark Chocolate Candy Bar, Chopped
  • 1-½ cup Pretzels, Chopped

Preparation

In a large bowl combine butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, until blended. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bake in a greased casserole (8×11) dish at 350F for 20-24 minutes. Cool, then serve.

The “base” blondie recipe used here is fantastic! If you are looking ofr a base to mix your own creation in it doesn’t get better then this. I baked mine in a 9×9 pan- it worked but they were pretty thick and I will probably use the recommended pan size next time.
I do not really like how the pretzels came out- after getting moistened in the batter and then baked, somehow the texture just does not come out right for me. I have felt the same way about cookies with pretzels baked in.

Wow! These were the perfect blond brownie, just the right amount of chocolate and the pretzels gave it a nice little twist! I couldn’t keep these a secret for long!
