A great fall cake, full of nuts and apple bits, combined with a homey brown butter and brown sugar glaze. A nice change from the more common combination of apples and cinnamon. Not that there’s anything wrong with apples and cinnamon, but, well, just TRY this cake! Super moist and super yummy!
Prepare the cake by mixing oil, granulated sugar, and eggs. Combine with dry ingredients. Add nuts, vanilla, and apples. Bake in a 9×13 pan for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Make the glaze by melting butter in small saucepan. Whisk in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and let boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar. Pour over the warm cake.
Enjoy!

Delicious! Made this recipe because I had exactly three apples that were too ripe to eat.

This is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! It was great with some apple butter on top.
