Mmm. Vanilla beans, bourbon, butter, and powdered sugar. YUM!
In a largish mixing bowl, beat butter, bourbon and vanilla bean innards (ditch the pod, it doesn’t taste very good) together. Add half of the powdered sugar and beat until incorporated. Add 1 tablespoon of cream and remaining powdered sugar; beat together. If the consistency is too thick, add more cream 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is achieved. You can always add more— it’s harder to take away.
This can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for a week or so.
