Lemon Poppyseed Cake.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour an 8-inch baking pan.
Combine flour, sugar, cornstarch, poppy seeds, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Using a fork, blend in butter until incorporated.
Combine remaining ingredients in another bowl. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture until just blended.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 35 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean when inserted in center. Remove from pan and cool on a rack.
