From the archives of my husband’s grandmother. Thick and rich—and easy!
Milk evaporated milk and 1/2 of the water, and heat to boil. Mix together pudding and remaining water.
Pour pudding mixture into the milk mixture and cook on high to a full boil and boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla extract. Stir.
Cover with plastic wrap and cool.
Note: I’ve been known to add some instant coffee or some cinnamon (about a teaspoon or so) or even substituting a little of the evaporated milk with sweetened condensed milk. This is a pretty forgiving recipe. Have fun!

I seriously think this recipe would send my husband over the moon! I’ll have to make this for him.
