Description

Delicious apple pie filling wrapped up in a crescent roll.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Rolls, 8 Ounce Can
  • 20 ounces, weight Canned Apple Pie Filling
  • ⅛ cups Sugar
  • ⅛ cups Cinnamon
  • Caramel Ice Cream Topping
  • Vanilla Ice Cream, Optional

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Open the can and unroll the crescent rolls. You will see that there are a total of 8 rolls. Two rolls each are perforated together. Pinch the perforation together so that the two rolls are now become one sheet of dough. You will do this so that you end up with a total of 4 larger sized rolls. You have to do it this way so that you will have squares, not the triangle shapes they come in. Now take each of the squares you pressed together and cut it in half. You will end up with a total of 8 poppers.

Add 1 teaspoon of apple pie filling to the center of each square. Fold over the ends pressing ends together then roll it around in your hands until to form a ball around the filling.

Mix cinnamon and sugar together in small bowl. Roll each ball in the cinnamon and sugar mixture so that the outside of the roll is completely coated in the mixture.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper so they don’t stick to the pan. Bake at 350 F for about 10 minutes.

Let them cool then drizzle with caramel sauce or serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
