Apple dish for a fall weekend brunch or a winter dessert.
Grease a 9-inch pie pan. Peel and slice apples (you should fill pan to heaping). Sprinkle with cinnamon and lemon juice and set aside.
Combine melted butter , flour, egg, walnuts, salt and sugar. Pour the mixture over the apples and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
