This is one of those recipes that is always on my Christmas baking list even though you could certainly make them any time of the year.
1. Lay out the graham crackers onto a cookie sheet with sides. Sprinkle the sliced almonds over top. No need to use all of them if you don’t want, I don’t usually measure but just sprinkle till it looks good.
2. Bring the butter and the sugar to a boil in a small sauce pan. It is very important that you have your pan of graham crackers ready before you do this! Boil for 3 1/2 minutes and then pour over the graham crackers.
3. Bake at 350F for 8 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and scoop almonds back onto the crackers.
5. Remove from sheet and place onto cooling racks. It’s a good idea to put a couple pieces of newspaper under the racks so you don’t have to worry about cleaning the drippy candy off the counter after.
