Aunt Jean always made this for us when we’d visit. It’s great for breakfast, brunch, dessert or anytime!
In a large pot boil two cups of water. Add two cups of sugar and mix well.
Turn heat to medium and mix in raisins, butter, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and baking soda. Stir to combine.
When mixed well, remove from stove and let cool slightly. Add flour and mix well again.
Grease a tube pan and add mixture. Bake at 350 for 45 minute to 1 hour.
Serve warm. I like mine sliced thin with butter!
