Description

Delicious baked apples filled with pumpkin, chestnut, dates, walnut and cinnamon! Perfect dessert or sweet snack, made without any refined sugar. Try it this winter, and enjoy this new amazing taste.

Ingredients

  • 7 ounces, weight Chestnut
  • 7 ounces, weight Pumpkin
  • 2 whole Apples
  • 10 whole Dates
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1-½ ounces, weight Walnuts, Crushed Or Ground

Preparation

Place chestnuts in a bowl with warm water and soak for 30 minutes. This will make them easier to peel later.

Preheat oven to 220ºC (425ºF).

Dry chestnuts and carefully cut an X in their shells. This is very important so nothing goes wrong while baking them. Be careful, the shell is quite slippery.

Place chestnuts into a small tray with pumpkin and cover with baking paper. Bake for 45–50 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut apples in half and remove the core from it. Place into another small tray and put in the oven with chestnuts and pumpkin. Bake for 20 minutes.

Take out the apples from the oven and let cool. After some 20 minutes, chestnuts and pumpkin will be ready as well.

Peel chestnuts and blend with pumpkin, dates and cinnamon. Fill apples with the mix, and serve with walnuts.
