Moist, slightly sweet and cinnamony cake for breakfast. Super easy and quick. Great with coffee or tea. Don’t know who Alice Adams is, but this is my grandmother’s recipe that she has handed down to me.
Mix first six ingredients (not the milk and egg). Reserve 1/3 cup of the mixture, and set aside as topping.
Add milk and beaten egg. Beat until smooth.
Pour into 8″ square pan or cake pan. Sprinkle topping on. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes in a convection oven.
* Note: Recipe may be doubled and baked in a 9″x13″ pan.
