Easy, and delicious. I added a scoop of protein powder and added a mashed banana. I will definitely be making these again!

Delicious! I used what I had on-hand: flax seeds instead of chia and almonds instead of peanuts. I’m looking forward to trying more variations.

Fabulous! I like the no bake version best. I have even added a mashed banana to the mix to make peanut butter banana chocolate chip bars. Yummy! Makes the mixture a little bit easier to press together. I love the chia seed crunch!

i did the no bake version and OMG..yummmo. made them for a friend who just had a baby and her whole family helped put them away. we dont have chia seeds available here in western ok so i just used peanuts and craisins as my fillers. will be making again and again

Hi Marci! Chia seeds are high in omega 3’s and can be used a variety of ways – your best bet is to find them at a health store. If you can’t find any, try subbing another seed or nut!

Yeah! Also Gluten free (with GF oats!) What are chia seeds, and do you have any suggestions as to what I can use to substitute if I can’t find them in my local (rural) store?
Thanks for a GREAT recipe!
