Description

A fun and festive 4th of July treat! Who knew that patriotic could be so cute!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (12 Oz. Size) Red Candy Melts
  • 1 bag (12 Oz. Size) Blue Candy Melts
  • 20 whole Extra Large Marshmallows
  • 20  Red And White Striped Paper Straws

Preparation

Melt red and blue candy melts in separate bowls according to package instructions.

Insert a straw 3/4 of the way into each marshmallow and take it out again. (This will leave the hole where the straw will go after dipping the marshmallows). Dip the side of the marshmallow with the hole into the melted blue candy coating. Hold marshmallow over the bowl after dipping it and tap your hand until excess candy coating has been tapped off of the marshmallow. Place marshmallow onto a sheet of parchment paper with the dipped side up and insert the straw back into the hole. Let them dry completely.

Once the blue coating is completely dry, hold the marshmallow by the sides (not the straw) and dip it into the red melted candy coating. Tap your hand to shake off excess candy coating.

Place the marshmallow pop (straw side down) into a heavy glass to dry.

Enjoy!
