This wonderful jam reminds me of a banana split!
Place strawberries in pot. If frozen, let thaw until some juices start to run to the bottom of the bowl. Add sugar to the pot, along with lemon juice and zest. Stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer and let cook until the berries start to break down and the mixture starts to thicken, about 35 minutes. At this point, add the mashed bananas and mash everything that hasn’t broken down using a potato masher. When it seems thick, it’s done.
Let cool and enjoy!
