Description

This recipe makes a nice sauce ladled over steak or fish.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil, For Pan
  • 6 heads Mushroom Caps, Sliced
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 8 ounces, fluid Beef Stock
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Preparation

Drizzle olive oil in a hot pan. On medium heat, sauté mushrooms until brown and tender then remove from pan and set aside.

Sauté garlic for 20 seconds then add all other ingredients. Allow to thicken.

Add cooked mushrooms back into the sauce and warm. Ladle sauce over steak and serve.

Tip: Prepare your steak by first seasoning with salt and pepper. Allow to get to room temperature. Searing is done by placing meat on a hot surface, be it a 600°F grill or hot skillet. For medium rare, sear on both sides for 2 minutes, then close off air passages on grill or cover skillet with a lid and allow to cook for 3-4 minutes.
