A thick and delicious Marsala sauce.
1. Add butter to a saute pan on the stove.
2. Add Marsala wine to your saute pan. (I am always very generous when it comes to adding Marsala. Add more as you desire.)
3. Add sliced onions and simmer for about 10 minutes.
4. Add sliced mushrooms and continue simmering.
5. Keep simmering and scraping the bottom of your pan until the sauce thickens, adding more Marsala as you wish. Simmer and scrape, simmer and scrape.
Season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve over cooked egg noodles, or chicken, pork, veal, or ice cream (ok, maybe not ice cream), or eat with a spoon. This sauce is so good. Enjoy!
