A nice easy homemade maple syrup, better than the thick gooey store-bought bottle variety.
Stir sugars and 2 cups water till dissolved in a pan. Put on medium heat till it boils. The reduce heat to medium-low, cover, boiling gently for 10 minutes. Next add the vanilla, maple, and butter flavoring. Syrup will be thin but it soaks into your favorite pancakes, French toast, or waffles. YUM!
Place leftovers in a covered container in the fridge. Reheat on the stove with a little water (sugar crystals will form).
I have also substituted Splenda for the granulated sugar.
