This seasoning is great for meats and rice. I usually add about 1 teaspoon per pound of meat.
Combine cumin, peppercorn and coriander in a heavy medium skillet. Stir over medium heat until fragrant and toasted, about 8 minutes. Cool slightly. Finely grind toasted spices in the blender. Add salt, sugar and garlic powder. Transfer to a bowl or container.
