Description

A simple and delicious vinaigrette that you make in your blender! Guaranteed to jazz up any salad!

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard (Any Kind)
  • 1 clove Garlic, Smashed And Peeled
  • ⅛ teaspoons Dried Basil
  • Kosher Salt And Black Pepper To Taste
  • ¾ cups Good Olive Oil

Preparation

Combine the balsamic and red wine vinegars, mustard, smashed garlic clove, basil, salt and pepper in a blender. With the machine running, gradually add the olive oil through the opening in the lid until it forms into a thick dressing.

This dressing can be made up to 1 week ahead, stored in a covered container and keep refrigerated. Stir well before using.

I made a strawberry chicken salad with this dressing on top and it was awesome! Super easy too! The only thing extra I did was put some fresh thyme in it. I will definitely make this again soon!

I made this yesterday with a simple salad (Romaine, tomatoes, grated carrots, green onion, cranberries) and it was delicious. We brought it to our small group and everyone loved it. I doubled the recipe so I would have some leftover. I used 1 tsp regular mustard and 1tsp whole grain, and did half olive oil and half EVOO. Very simple to make as well.
