An easy to make hot fudge chocolate sauce to drizzle on ice cream, cake, or even on a spoon!
In a medium-sized pot combine cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and half of the chocolate. Bring to a low boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Add remaining chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract. Gently stir until smooth. Let the sauce cool slightly before using. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
Heat leftover sauce gently in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute before using.
Makes 2 cups.
