I know it’s tempting to buy the canned, but resist the temptation as this homemade enchilada sauce ridiculously easy and delicious!
Heat vegetable oil over medium high heat, then stir in flour until well combined. Stir in chili powder and cook for less than a minute. Add in remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

i had only canned enchilada sauce once and it was way spicy so i think i want to try this!

Ooh. I’m excited to try this as I cannot find enchilada sauce where I live in Canada.
