Description

Hemp hearts, dates and vanilla form this wonderfully sweet sauce … perfect for drizzling on fruit or anywhere else just a kiss of sweet is called for.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Hemp Hearts, Rinsed Well (see Note)
  • 6  Large Medjool Dates, Pitted
  • ¾ cups Water (you May Want An Extra Tablespoon Or Two, Depending On How Thin You Would Like It To Be)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1  Vanilla Bean, Split In Half Lengthwise, Seeds Scraped Out

Preparation

In a food processor add the hemp hearts, dates, water, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add the seeds from the vanilla bean and pulse a couple more times, until they’re mixed throughout.

Drizzle warm or cold over fruit.

Yield: 12 servings at 2 tablespoons per serving.

Note: Soaking the hemp seeds in a bowl of water for an hour or so will help soften them and make the blending a bit easier. Drain before using.
