The easiest homemade fig jam you’ll ever make!
Thoroughly mix figs, Jell-o gelatin mix, and sugar in a large heavy pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat and continue boiling 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour quickly into 6 six-ounce sterilized jars. Wipe tops of jars with a clean cloth. Run a knife around the inside of the jars to release any air bubbles and seal at once. (I put the lids and screw tops on mine, then invert for 5 minutes, turn right side up, and then listen for the “pop” that tells me it’s sealed).
**Experiment with different flavors of Jell-O! Also, my mother puts thinly sliced lemon in hers. **
