This cranberry pear sauce is so simple to make and is a gorgeous addition to your holiday table. Gluten-free and make-ahead friendly!
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and orange zest and juice. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved.
Add cranberries and pears, return to a boil, and continue to cook until cranberries pop and pears are softened. This will take about 7-10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Allow to cool then refrigerate until ready to serve. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
