We like to use this sauce over beef, but I recently tried in over vanilla bean ice cream and it was a huge hit!
In a saucepan over medium high heat, add all ingredients. If using frozen blackberries, thaw first). Stir as the fruit breaks down. Once syrupy, remove from heat.
Over a bowl and using a fine mesh sieve, slowly pour ingredients through the sieve and lightly press with a wooden spoon. Allow to cool if not using right away.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve. We love this served warm over eye round roast beef. Try it on ice cream—it’s great!
