This gravy is great with meat loaf, steaks, hamburgers, etc.
In a small pot, bring water to a boil. While water is heating, heat oil and sauté onions and mushrooms until they are tender.
Add beef bouillon to boiling water and stir until dissolved.
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour to the pan and whisk constantly. When flour begins to turn brown, add bouillon water, a little at a time, until gravy is thick enough to your liking. Add sautéed onions and mushrooms to gravy and let simmer about 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
