These waffles have a hint of rich coconut and a nice note of spice, as well as a nice sweetness. I (being the unique person I am) like waffles paninis, using a waffle sliced in half as the bread every once and a while. These work wonderfully in that application.
Turn on your waffle maker. Mix mousse and maple syrup together in a medium-sized bowl. In a small bowl combine the flour, garam masala, baking powder, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the coconut mixture and mix just until combined. This batter is very thick, but that is because a lot of these ingredients retain a lot of moisture. Pour enough batter into each waffle mold so that you can spread it out with a rubber spatula to fill or nearly fill the entire mold, perhaps 1/3 cup, but the amount depends on how big of a waffle your waffle maker makes. Cook according to the instructions for your waffle maker. Enjoy!
