This quick bread is a hit with kids and does not need to rise or rest before frying up!
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, powdered milk, and warm water. Stir only until blended. Roll out into a circle, 1/4 inch thick. Cut and fry in oil until crisp. Serve warm with whipped butter, honey or jam.

Simple and effective recipe. I substituted plain yogurt for the powdered milk and it turned out just fine. Mine turned out a little more like ‘skillet bread’ than fried bread but I suppose it is all dependent on the amount of oil used? All-in-all a great whole-wheat twist to classic fried bread!
