Light, fluffy, buttery, amazing biscuits….
Mix flour and the 5 Tablespoons of shortening or butter first, until mixture forms crumbly little balls, then add milk. Mix together and dump mixture out onto a floured work surface.
Sprinkle a bit of flour on top of the dough and roll or press out until about 1/8″ thick. Cut out biscuits and put on a lightly buttered cookie sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. When biscuits are done, butter the tops.
Yields about 10-12 biscuits.
