Better than biscotti!
Lightly beat eggs. Add oil and sugar. Add baking powder (not soda!), salt and almond extract.
Mix in flour. Lastly, add slivered almonds (you can toast them first if desired).
Mix and roll onto a floured cloth. Knead gently and divide into 3 equal logs. Pat to 1-inch height.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool for 5 minutes. Cut at an angle into 1-inch slices.
Lay each slice on its side on the cookie sheet and bake for another 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
