This Strawberry and Basil Frozen Yogurt is bright in flavor and a lighter alternative to ice cream—but still totally creamy!
Put strawberries, lime juice, and chopped basil in a blender or food processor and blend/pulse until the mixture is mostly pureed, leaving a few strawberry chunks throughout.
In a large bowl, whisk together milk, yogurt, sugar, and vanilla extract. Once the milk and yogurt mixture has been blended thoroughly, add the strawberry puree and whisk until completely blended.
Carefully pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions. Times may vary with difference machines.
Makes about 1 quart.
