Description

This quick and easy bread is bursting with flavor and beautiful color!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Shredded Provolone Cheese
  • 1-½ cup Chopped Baby Spinach
  • 12 ounces, fluid Beer
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Grease a 9×5-inch bread pan and set aside.

Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper together in a large bowl. Stir in the provolone and spinach. Add the beer and stir until just combined.

Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Pour the melted butter over the top. Bake for 45 minutes.

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool.

This was most excellent! I didn’t have provolone on hand, so subbed in gouda & feta, which turned out yummy. Hubby is a home brewer, so this is a great way to use his beer that doesn’t turn out well enough to drink.
