Description

Sandwich bread, adapted from the Alberta Wheat Commission.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hot Water
  • ¼ cups Softened Butter Or Canola Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1-½ cup Flour
  • 1-½ cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1-½ teaspoon Instant (bread Machine) Yeast

Preparation

Place ingredients in breadmaker pan in the order listed. Use whole wheat setting on your bread machine, set for 1.5 lb loaf.

This recipe works for me using my home-grown Alberta #1 wheat, at our 3,000-foot elevation.
